Park City Pub
First off, I wanna lobby to bring back the former name of this establishment because it is so incredibly awesome: “Sir Loin’s”! Why would anyone ever change that name? I’m still chuckling to myself.
That being said, I think the present, blander name fits the current incarnation. It is a bona fide dive, with ripped vinyl booths to prove it, but as inoffensive as they come. Some dive bars you fear for your life or your health, but not here. Nope. Park CIty Pub is a dive bar where you could confidently bring your grandma and she’d feel right at home.
We visited on a Saturday morning and it was…peaceful. Our waitress Janelle was serene and kind. The menu had everything we wanted including really good jalapeno poppers and the drinks were stiff. “Heavy pours here”, to quote Janelle. She wasn’t kidding. The music was golden oldies from the 1950s and 1960s. It was just a pleasant, low-key experience.
